Why is Esther Marie Still Running a Fever???

Day 7 running fever, but why?

We are not sure, so we will be making a trip to see the pediatrician on Wednesday morning at 8:00. I spoke to the surgeon's assistant this afternoon and she said we need to have it checked out....Emmie should not be running a fever any more because of the surgery. There are several possibilities like ear infection, throat infection, etc. As I mentioned in another post, she looks like she has thrush...yuck! That might be the cuprit! How about the lack of energy, excessive crying and sleeping a lot? Well, Dana said this is common. After the initial trauma of the surgery...they bounce back some...only to "crash" again and feel terrible for two or three more days. I guess that is where we are right now.

Bring out the bubbles!!! These are what took her mind off her pain and the constant monitoring while we were in the hospital. She loves them! Her first nurse gave her a bottle and showed us the wonder of a little soap, and the kids brought her some more later along with a get well balloon. I guess we'll try them again....she really seems to need the distraction!

We'll let you know what the doctor says...and thanks for praying!!!!
