One day I was thinking of a nickname for Esther Marie and I thought about the letters of her names...E and M....and put them together to come up with EMmie as a nickname. Well, this morning Miss Emmie woke BEFORE 6:00 and did all the cute little things she does to charm someone into taking her downstairs to eat. That someone was me...and after making oatmeal, she ate two pretty good size bowls and then on top of that, ate some applesauce too. Jasper was later trying to eat his oatmeal and she seemed to think that was for her as well. He said...hey, I think the EM stand for "Eating Machine" instead of Esther Marie....Emmie the Eating Machine! So her new nickname now could be Eating Machine instead of Emmie! (haha) She does love to eat!

EM has good taste! David and I like oatmeal too. We eat it with brown sugar and milk. How does the little 'eating machine' eat hers? How does Ja eat his?

Oatmeal...something our family loves for breakfast! We like to "spice it up" quite a bit around here. We only use whole oats, nothing quick or instant. Then we add some real butter, brown sugar or raw honey, raisins or died cranberries, pecans, cinnamon, and milk or cream. Emmie eats hers the same way except without nuts and fruit...lightly sweetened. She gobbled it up with wide eyes.
You actually eat 'died' cranberries?
I like mine still ALIVE!!!
