Our Joy and Their Pain...Thank You For Your Prayers!

I keep reading stories about how many families in China have lost their only child because of the recent earthquake. It's traumatic to lose any child but to lose your only child must be especially painful.

As we travel to China to embrace our second Chinese daughter, I covet your prayers. And as you are praying for Esther Marie and our family, I hope you will pray for these Chinese families who are grieving the loss of their children. It is bittersweet to me that I can feel so much joy when they are feeling so much pain. I hope the couples will eventually consider adopting some of the thousands of children in orphanages there in China who so desperately need a family!
