A $175 Hamburger???

Okay folks...I just HAD to comment on this "news" story. Of course, I read the article so I got duped into wasting time, like lots of other people, reading about things that are not really newsworthy. (I am trying to avoid doing the mounds of laundry for my crew. What's your excuse?)

Anyway....here's a quote from the article....click on the title to read the whole thing....

The Wall Street Burger Shoppe just raised its price from $150 (to $175) to assure its designation as the costliest burger in the city as determined by Pocket Change, an online newsletter about the most expensive things in New York.

What's on this burger??? The burger, created by chef and co-owner Kevin O'Connell, seeks to justify its price with a Kobe beef patty, lots of black truffles, seared foie gras, aged Gruyere cheese, wild mushrooms and flecks of gold leaf on a brioche bun.

Do you want to ingest "gold leaf" ?? I don't! How much does the indigestion medicine cost when the bill arrives and they actually have to PAY for the burger??? (and people are starving down the street!)

Gold isn't bad for you at all. You can actually buy liquid gold or silver in solution at health food store. It can help with energy, mineral absorption, correct some nerve problems, detoxification, etc. It's weird to think about, but we all have some in our system anyway. I came to look at the pics of your beautiful new daughter, but got sucked into the blog! :)
